General Information

An audition-based dance company featuring a variety of dance styles.  Members have the opportunity to learn student, faculty, and guest artist choreography to perform in a formally staged concert.  Orchesis is open to all grade levels.  Auditions are held in February and performances are May 10th and 11th.  

Audition required.  The audition process includes attending a one-day mandatory workshop prior to the audition, where choreographic material will be learned.  These workshops will be held on February 19 & 20 from 3:30 - 5:00p in the VHHS auditorium.  The audition will be held on February 22.  Dancers will perform the material learned at the workshop, as well as an improvisational exercise.  Auditionees may attend either day of the workshop, and must be present for the audition on the 22th.

Approximately 8 - 9 hours a week plus perfomances.  February  - May.*

*Participation in guest artist pieces may require additional rehearsal time.

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school from 3:30 - 6:30pm
