Hi everyone!!! Best Buddies is all about making friendships between students with disabilities (Buddies) and students without disabilities (Peer Buddies or Associate Members).
Peer Buddies are paired in a one-to-one friendship with a Buddy and are expected to have contact (call, text, etc.) once a week and meet (movies, hang out during school lunch or study hall, etc.) every two weeks in addition to coming to all the awesome events! Don't worry, if you're busy one week, you can still be a Peer Buddy!
Associate Members come to all the events but are not paired in a one-to-one friendship.
We have a Halloween Party, Thanksgiving Potluck, Holiday Cookie Exchange, Friendship Walk, Best Buddies Prom and much more!
Our first chapter meeting is Thursday, September 6th at 7:20 in Room 1203. We will have food!

My favorite Best Buddies moment was having nine people squish into a van for the Homecoming Parade my sophomore year. Everyone was bumping into each other and there was candy all over the place. People took turns sticking their head out the window. It was a blast!

Last year my favorite best buddies memory was the halloween party where we had the mummy wrapping contest. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. I also had a lot of fun at the best buddies prom. The prom was full of different types of food and crazy dance moves. All the buddies had a lot of fun and a chance to meet new people.

My favorite best buddies moment from last year was the Best Buddies Prom. I had a ton of fun dancing with everyone. Also, meeting all the buddies from other schools was great. I thought everything was set up very nicely and everyone had a great time. I can't wait for Best Buddies Prom this year!

My favorite Best Buddies memory was probably the Halloween party last year. It was so much fun hanging out with the buddies. I loved wrapping the toilet paper around them to look like mummies. The pumpkin carvings was also a hit. I think the buddies had fun interacting with the members while they carved silly faces onto the pumpkins.
