Athletics -Special Olympics - Event Schedule

THESE ARE THE EVENTS WE WILL BE COMPETING IN DURING THE 2009/10 SCHOOL YEAR. 

Sectional Bowling

Saturday November 2nd, 2009 - Cherry Bowling Lanes in Rockford, Illinois. Athletes qualified for this competition at the Regional event in June.

State Bowling

Saturday December 1st, 2009- Peoria, Illinois. If any of our athletes win Gold at sectionals they will qualify for state.

Floor Hockey

The State Tournament at NEIU on Saturday, November, 17th.

Basketball Games

We will  be playing games against neighboring high schools and rec centers throughout the winter.

Area Winter Games

Saturday January 10th, 2010 - Bartlett Hills Country Club in Bartlett, Illinois. Our athletes will be competing in Snowshoeing.

Area Basketball Team and Individual Skills Competitions

Sunday January 24th, 2010 - Team competition will be at TBA and Deerfield H.S. Individual skills competition will take place in a nearby location to be determined. Gold medal winners qualify for state both team and individually.

State Winter Games

Tuesday-Thursday,  February 2-4th at Chestnut Mountain in Galena, Illinois. Gold medal winners from the Area Winter Games qualify for this event.

State Basketball Team and Individual Competitions

Friday-Sunday, March 12-13th at Illinois State University in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. Must win Gold medal at area event to qualify.

Area Spring Games

Sunday April 25th, 2010 at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Our athletes will be competing in Track & Field and Powerlifting events. Gold medal winners will qualify for state summer games.

Area Bocce Tournament

Saturday May 1st, 2010 at South Elgin H.S in Suouth Elgin, Illinois. Gold medal winners qualify for state summer games.

Area Bowling Tournament

Sunday June 6th, 2010 at the Brunswick Zone in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Gold medal winners will qualify for sectionals in November 2006.

State Summer Games

Friday-Sunday June 11-13th at Illinois State University in Bloomington/Normal Illinois. Gold medal winners from area spring games and area bocce tournament qualify for this event.
