Attention all students who are native speakers of Chinese.....if you would like to take a placement test to be able to enroll in an upper level Chinese course skipping the Chinese 1 level, the placement tests will be given in the Language Lab today. Please stop by to make an appointment with Mrs. Joshi during a Study Hall or your lunch period. If you need to have an after school appointment, contact Mrs. Steffens in the Blue Teacher Workroom. Please congratulate and wish Jacob Stern Good Luck at State this coming weekend. Jacob qualified as an individual last Saturday in a very competitive Sectional. GIRLS' OPEN LACROSSE: There will be a Girls' Open Lacrosse session on Thursday, January 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Field House. It is open to all girls attending VHHS, regardless of their intent to play during the season. We have sticks and goggles that may be borrowed; please bring your own formed mouthguard. What do we need: Your artwork, short stories, poetry, and photography. How do you submit? There are drop boxes located in the LMC, 2218, and the photo room. You can also submit entries via e-mail at whispers@d128.org. You make art, you take pictures, you write poetry, and you write stories. IM BASKETBALL: The IM Basketball season came to a close on Wednesday night. After dodging an upset by Ty Chong’s ensemble, Richard Clark’s team claimed the 2015 IM Championship. It was the clutch shooting of Kyle Thomas that fueled the victory. Thanks to all 16 teams that participated. (Czarnecki 1/23)
