PARCC/A.C.T. TESTING FOR FRESHMEN AND JUNIORS ONLY; NON-ATTENDANCE DAY FOR SOPHOMORES AND SENIORS

Congratulations to Math Team for our second place finish at the Regional Competition on Saturday. In the individual event, the Seniors placed first and Justin Yim was first among all Seniors competing. The Sophomore team placed second and the Juniors third. Individually, Oliver Leung placed second, Isaiah Liu third and Anmol Parande fourth. The Frosh/Soph 8-Person and Junior/Senior 8-Person teams placed second while the Calculator team placed third. The Jr/Sr 2-Person Team of Justin Yim and Aiden Kang took first and Justin Yim was the winning oralist. Congratulations to everyone on Math Team as we move on to the State Competition. Kelsey Carido, Ariel Chan, Brandon Coty, Serena Dhaon, Felicia E, Cassidy Gillespie-Dipinto, Keri Han, Lindsey Hansen, Iris Hong, Albert Kong, Gina Liu, Skylar Max, Stephanie Orozco, Heena Singh, Brennen Tolari, Sheri Vaks, Lucy Wu, Kaitlyn Zhang, Maddie Zielke voted for their favorite book in the 2015 Illinois Teen Choice Award Statewide Contest! They each won a copy of an ITC nominee title, so congratulations go to each of them. Be sure to come to the LMC in March to collect your book while supplies last! (Eidmann 3/4)
Celebrate INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES WEEK! Today is French Day. French fun fact: The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 as part of the International Exhibition in Paris that year commemorating the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. Look for the fliers in the cafeteria with more fun facts about each language/culture taught at VHHS. (Cusick-Acosta 3/4)
The registration deadline for AP Exams is this Friday, March 6th. After March 6th there is a $55 per exam late fee. No exams will be ordered after Friday, March 27th. Stop by the Main Office if you have any questions. (Curry 3/4)

Auditions for the Spring play The Diviners will take place today and tomorrow, March 4th and 5th, after school in the Studio Theater. Callbacks will take place on Friday, March 6th. Pick up an audition packet in the Fine Arts Office or from Ms. Freichels in Room 2217 for more information. (Freichels 3/4)

Best Buddies
