Oct-06  North Chicago, Lakes Dual Meet
The Cougars clinched their 3rd straight Prairie Division title yesterday at Foss Park in North Chicago. The varsity squad took the first eight places to record 15-50 wins over both Lakes and North Chicago. Complete results are posted.
Oct-03  41st Annual Pat Harland Invitational
Evan Webber (13th), Antoni Okinczyc (14th), Nikolay Kravtsev (17th), and Matt Huse (25th) earned Top 30 ribbons and led the Cougar's F/S team to a 5th place finish at the Pat Harland Invitational today at Fox River Park in Wilmot, WI. Kenny Dantes placed 6th in the Boys' Open race to earn a Top 20 ribbon. Nikolay Kravtsev, Ethan Schuster, and Joshua Lee all ran personal bests. Of the 15 athletes who raced on this same course on Monday, all improved their times, some significantly. Complete results are posted.

Sep-28  Antioch, Wauconda Dual Meet 
The Cougars took the first seven places to notch victories over Antioch and Wauconda in yesterday's double-dual meet at Fox River Park in Wilmot, WI. Shane Williamson covered the hilly 3-mile course in 16:44 to lead all runners. The Cougars are now 4-0 in the Prairie Division. Complete results are posted.
Sep-26  Palatine Cross Country Invitational 
Shane Williamson and Tim Krashevsky placed 13th and 26th, respectively, and each earned a Top 30 medal, while leading the Cougars to a 14th place finish in a high caliber 31 team field at the Palatine Invitational today. Caleb Ju (86th), Trevor Moyers (120th), and Nick Mohrdieck (158th) completed the Top 5 for the Varsity squad. Bryan Castellanos (181) and Alex Geier (183) rounded out the team scoring. Tim's time of 15:26.4 was a personal best. The Cougars placed 2nd among 2A schools and scored solid victories over Crystal Lake Central and Crystal Lake Prairie Ridge.
In other races, Teddy Chen led the sophomore team with a 43rd place finish and personal best time of 17:03.1. Cameron Overbeck was the first Cougar freshman, covering the 2.5-mi freshman race course in 14:39.5. Zak Baumann led the JV squad, placing 51st in 17:11.4. In all, eight athletes ran personal best times. Complete results are posted.
Sep-21  Lake Zurich, Round Lake Dual Meet 
Tim Krashevsky, Caleb Ju, and Trevor Moyers placed 5th, 6th, and 7th, respectively to lead the Cougars to a 17-45 win over Prairie Division opponent Round Lake. Alex Geier (12th) and Bryan Castellanos (14th) completed the scoring for the varsity squad. The Cougars are now 2-0 in the division. Lake Zurich took the top 4 places to score victories over both Vernon Hills and Round Lake.
Brandon Alpert, Kevin Cronin, Nick Huemann, Konstantin Konovalov, Cameron Overbeck, Ethan Schuster, Bryan Shim, and Evan Webber all ran personal best times. Complete results are posted.
Sep-19  Ryan Byrne Festival Cross Country Invitational 
Shane Williamson, Trevor Moyers, and Alex Geier all won their flights to lead the Cougars to a 2nd place finish at the Ryan Byrne Festival hosted by Woodstock High School. The Varsity squad scored 15 points, just 2 points behind 3A #15 ranked Huntley. Zak Baumann led the JV squad with a 1st place finish in Flight 2 and Cameron Overbeck (FR) ran an impressive personal best time of 18:40.0 on the challenging Emricson Park course to place 2nd for the JV in Flight 7. The JV squad scored 22 points to tie Crystal Lake Prairie-Ridge for 3rd place.
The girls' Varsity and JV squads placed 1st and 2nd, respectively, and the Cougars won the Combined Team Championship with a total score of 70. Complete results are posted here.
Sep-12  28th Annual First to the Finish Invitational (V), 40th Annual Wauconda Invitational (FS/JV) 
The Cougars placed 4th overall in a stacked 2A field on the strength of Shane Williamson's 2nd place finish (14:41.5) and personal best races by Tim Krashevsky (20th, 15:29.6) and Caleb Ju (26th, 15:38.2) at the 28th Annual First to the Finish Invitational at Detweiller Park in Peoria, IL on Saturday. Trevor Moyers ran 16:05.3 to place 58th and Nick Mohrdieck ran a personal best 16:35.7 to place 115th. Alex Geier (132nd, 16:42.3) and Bryan Castellanos (137th, 16:44.4) completed the scoring for the Cougars. Teddy Chen placed 180th in a personal best time of 17:04.2. There were 59 schools and 919 runners in the race. Complete results are posted here.
At the 40th Annual Wauconda Invitational, the FS and JV squad recorded multiple personal best times. Antoni Okinczyc led the freshmen team with a 20th place finish and personal best time of 18:39.3. Cameron Overbeck placed 24th in a personal best 18:50.1 and Matt Huse was close behind in 25th with a personal best of 18:52.7. Evan Webber placed 64th in 18:47.0 to lead the Sophomore team and Tommy Millunchick was the first Cougar to cross the line in the Open race with a time of 17:57.7. Complete results are posted here. 
Congratulations to Coach Curry and the girls' team for a tremendous 2nd place finish against many of the top ranked 2A teams in Illinois. Vivian Overbeck led the team by placing 2nd overall in a personal best time of 17:18.8 and Lauren Katz placed 7th in 18:04.1.
Sep-05  35th Annual John Kurtz Early Bird Invitational 
Shane Williamson placed 2nd overall and the Cougars took home a 4th place trophy at the 35th Annual John Kurtz Early Bird Invitational hosted by Fenton High School. Shane's time of 15:20.8 was the 9th fastest time ever run on the Fenton HS course. Caleb Ju (29th, 16:16.6), Tim Krashevsky (35th, 16:21.4), Trevor Moyers (39th, 16:26.8), and Alex Geier (53rd, 16:44.3) finished within 28-seconds of each other to give the Cougars a 3-point edge over 5th place, and 3A #22 ranked, Glenbard West. Bryan Castellanos crossed the line in 66th place (17:12.4) to complete the scoring for Vernon Hills.
In other races, Teddy Chen (17:27.9) placed 21st among Sophomore boys and Zak Baumann (17:40.1) was 6th in the Open Race. Cameron Overbeck led the Cougar Freshmen boys with a 27th place finish and personal best time of 18:55.7. Complete results are posted here.    
Sep-03  Lake County Invitational
Sophomore Evan Webber placed 9th and ran a personal best time of 18:49.6 to lead the Cougars to 4th place in the boys' Open Race at the Lake County Invitational yesterday at Lakewood Forest Preserve. In their first high school cross-country race, freshmen Antoni Okinczyc (19:17.9) and Cameron Overbeck (19:18.5) placed 16th and 17th, respectively. Senior Sam Laneman (19:36.1) was the Cougar's fourth man in 19th place while freshman Matt Huse (19:53.4) crossed the line in 28th to complete the top five. Sophomores Jace White (34th, 20:15.7) and Bryan Shim  (37th, 20:17.2) rounded out the scoring for the Cougars with personal best performances. Sep-02  Sycamore Cross Country Invitational
The Boys' Varsity Cross Country team began the 2015 season on Tuesday, Sep-01 in Dekalb, IL at the Sycamore Cross Country Invitational. Held on the hilly Afton Forest Preserve course, the meet featured several state ranked 2A teams. The Cougars totaled 90 points to place third behind Belvidere North (67 pts) and Kaneland (73 pts) on a hot and humid afternoon.

Junior Shane Williamson led the Cougars, placing 3rd in 16:06. Tim Krashevsky (JR) finished next for Vernon Hills in 12th place (16:52) while Caleb Ju (SR) was close behind in 15th place with a time of 17:05. Nick Mohrdieck (JR), running in his first high school cross country race, crossed the line in 17:48 to place 29th. Trevor Moyers (SR) was the Cougars 5th man, finishing in 31st with a time of 17:53. Rounding out the scoring for the Cougars were Bryan Castellanos (SR) who placed 38th in 18:09 and Alex Geier who placed 41st in 18:14. Complete results are posted here.
